Constantly doodling as though she was born with a pencil and a brush in her hand, it was a no brainer for her to pursue art as her career. After receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Cincinnati, Rachel moved to Houston, Texas where she set up shop drawing, painting and creating to her heart's content.
Rachel’s work features hand-painted illustrations and patterns using watercolor and gouache. She is primarily inspired by her imagination and travels. Botanicals, space, and animal-related subject matters frequently make appearances in her work, often with a bit of humor and whimsy.
In her free time, you will find Rachel traveling and hiking with her husband Ricky, reading a book, or taking a walk with her pup-assistant Frankie.
